Dr Nitin Nagpaul
The concept of Waterside Dental Health as a specialist centre for dental excellence was created by Nitin Nagpaul. Nitin qualified from the prestigious Guy’s Hospital in 1998 and is a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, which he achieved by extensive examination post qualification. Nitin has worked exclusively in practice and has been appointed as a trainer for a scheme designed for newly qualified dentists. Nitin’s professional interest focuses on implantology for which he has been trained on the world renowned Nobel Biocare implant system. The Cerec CAD system for same day inlays was introduced to Waterside by Nitin as soon as it was available in the UK.

Dr Suneil Amin
Suneil qualified from Kings College London University in 2009. His early career focused on surgical dentistry which was where Suneil developed his interest in Implant dentistry. Suneil has completed his MJDF RCS (Membership of the joint dental faculty) and the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons. Suneil has worked within some of the leading practices for Invisalign and is one of the most experienced dentists in this area within this field. Suneil’s enthusiasm for both restorative and surgical dentistry has allowed him to develop a keen interest in both cosmetic and implant dentistry. Suneil is extremely personable with an excellent bed side manner. He always connects with his patients and has proved to be a very popular member of our team.

Dr Laleh Sharifian
Laleh qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1999, having been awarded the prestigious Newland Pedly Merit for clinical excellence and a scholarship to pursue research on dental anxiety. Laleh has been a clinical tutor in three dental hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, by examination.
Laleh works exclusively at Mouth Dental and provides a full range of dental treatment including treatment under Sedation for anxious patients, an area for which she has attained post graduate training at Guy’s Hospital. Laleh is a perfectionist with an eye for detail making her ideal for cosmetic dentistry, including veneers, Invisalign, white fillings and Cerec Inlays. Laleh is considered the dentist to the dentists.

Dr Helen Ngo
Helen qualified from King’s College, London, in 2007 with honours and was a gold medal runner up in her year. She has since attained Postgraduate Certificates in Orthodontics at Warwick University and Dental Education at University of Bedfordshire. Helen is an Invisalign Platinum Elite provider with a passion for digital dentistry.
Helen’s has a passion for improving smiles using Invisalign, followed by bleaching and bonding composite restorations to worn and chipped teeth. Helen enjoys the artistic nature of restoring broken teeth and has an eye for perfection. Helen enjoys using the iTero scanner for most of her work and has a mostly impression- free digital workflow for dental veneers, crowns, bridges and dentures.
Helen enjoys teaching and has hosted a study club for new Invisalign providers. She also enjoys mentoring new dental graduates and was a foundation trainer in the past. She was also a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Mary’s Hospital and at Guy’s Hospital.
Helen can also speak fluent Cantonese.

Dr Chanpreet Kalsi Sehmi
Facial Aesthetician, General and Sedation Dentist
Dr Chanpreet Sehmi qualified from Guys Kings and St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Since then she has furthered her education and skills by attending various cosmetic dental courses and conferences in the UK and worldwide. She has a keen interest in providing sedation for nervous clients.
She trained at the prestigious KT Training Academy on Harley Street in 2011 in the provision of Botox and Dermal Filler treatments. Wrinkle reduction and facial rejuvenation are her areas of expertise. Dr Sehmi takes pride in her subtle yet effective result with her many years of experience.
She also provides bespoke dietary analyses for her patients, which can help you identify exactly where those hidden sugars in your diet are.

Dr Nika Abolsedgh
Nika is a Doctor of Dental Medicine, achieved with Latin Honours. In the pursuit of providing excellence in dental care, she is completing the prestigious Restorative MSc at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL London.
From creating beautiful bespoke smiles, to salvaging heavily restored and worn dentitions, Nika has an exceptional range of clinical talents. She has a keen interest in biomimetic dentistry, i.e. the preservation of intact tooth structure whilst replicating nature as closely as possible.
Her open and calm persona has made her exceptionally popular with patients, particularly those who suffer from dental phobias. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and staying active.”
Specialist

Mr Anish Shah
Anish is a consultant oral surgeon with over 15 years specialist experience. He qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1999 with double honours and embarked on a career in oral surgery. He also works for South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. His expertise lies in all aspects of oral surgery such as complex wisdom teeth removal, cyst removal, biosy of patches, apicectomy and tongue tie surgery.
Anish has also developed a special interest in oral medical conditions such as oral ulcerations, burning mouth syndrome and lichen planus. He is one of the clinical leads for community dental services for SE Essex and lectures nationally and internationally on oral surgery. He contributes to medical journals and has published many articles on oral surgery and oral medicine.

Dr Bhavin Bhuva
Bhavin graduated from Guy’s Hospital in 1999. In 2005 he started specialist training at Guy’s, achieving a distinction in the Master of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics, obtaining the Membership in Restorative Dentistry RCS (Edin) and thereby admitted onto the General Dental Council Register of Specialists.
During his postgraduate studies Bhavin was awarded prestigious research grants by The Royal College of Surgeons and The British Endodontic Society. Bhavin has contributed to a number of dental textbooks including ‘Pitt Ford’s Problem-Based Learning in Endodontology’ and the ‘Adhesive Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth’. His enjoyment for teaching endodontics has progressed into his appointment as a Consultant in Endodontics at Guys Hospital, London as well as having a leading role in training postgraduates at the London Deanery. He has been accepting referrals at Waterside since 2006.

Jayneet Patel
Jayneet carried out his undergraduate training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital trust, qualifying in 2006. Following a year in general dental practice, he undertook two years of further training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at St Georges Hospital and Paediatric dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute. During this time, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. In 2009, he commenced the 3 year Specialist Orthodontic training at the Royal London Hospital, completing a Masters in Science degree in 2011, and the Intercollegiate Membership in Orthodontics (IMOrth) in 2012, from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Jayneet continues to work part time as an Associate Specialist in Orthodontics at the Royal London Hospital, where he enjoys teaching undergraduate students and treating patients with complicated treatment plans. He is registered with the General Dental Council, and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, England as well as the British Orthodontic society and European Orthodontic Society.

Dr Mital Patel
Mital graduated in dentistry, with honours, from Cardiff University in 2012 and attained the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013. Mital worked for three years in general practice and various hospitals as a Senior House Officer in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.Mital is enthusiastic about treating patients with a wide variety of complex gum problems and provides all aspects of periodontal care including crown lengthening procedures and managing gingival recession.
As a specialist periodontist, he has had additional training in bone reconstruction and the placement of dental implants.
Hygienist

Magdalena Deska
Magdalena qualified in Poland in 2014 as a dental hygienist. Prior to becoming a dental hygienist Magdalena worked as a dental nurse for several years in West End practice with specialist in periodontics.
Magdalena is very interested in all aspects of dentistry and has a keen interest in her patients’ oral hygiene education & promotion and focuses strongly on oral disease prevention.
She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy (BSDHT).

Miss Layken Williams
Oral Health Therapist Layken Williams loves having the opportunity to educate and assist her patients on achieving and maintaining a healthy smile every day.
A Sydney native, Layken has recently joined our team at Waterside and enjoys the friendly team environment at the practice.
Outside of working hours, Layken enjoys getting active, reading and visiting family and friends.

Ms Jessica Oza
Jessica graduated with a BSc as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from the University of Birmingham in 2012. Shortly after, she completed a vocational training year as part of the Health Education West Midlands scheme, where she gained further extensive training with carrying out restorative and periodontal treatments and in-depth education on a variety of dental topics.
She has since gained a vast amount of experience working in diverse NHS and private practices. She regularly attends dental courses and conferences to further her knowledge and skills in dentistry and keep up to date with modern advancements and techniques. She has a passion for providing preventative and restorative care for both adults and children. She is particularly interested in the treatment of periodontal disease – especially educating patients on the importance of their at home care.
Nurse

Rebecca Silver
Rebecca gained her dental nursing qualification in 2011. Dentistry and education are her passion and so within a short space of time Rebecca has gained post qualification certificates in Oral Health education and the very competitive Conscious Sedation certificate. Rebecca comes from an academic background and has excelled in every professional development she has had.
We are proud to have Rebecca working alongside our Specialists and running their clinic and caring for the patients. Her passion for all things Dentistry and Rebecca’s excellence and perfectionist manner has meant that her role within the practice has grown in a short space of time and she is continuing to develop even further. In her spare time Rebecca is an avid reader with a special interest in History.

Michaela Di Palma
Michaela has worked in the dental industry since 2018, she passed her exam for the National Diploma for Dental Nursing in February 2020.
Michaela loves all aspects of her job, working with different clinicians and specialists. She is passionate and dedicated to learn and improve every day.
Michaela will start her training in Biomedical Science at the University of Greenwich in September, and aims to become an oral health specialist. In her free time she is interested in new places to visit and long walks.

Lauren Nielson
Lauren qualified as a dental nurse in 2014 after studying in her home city Edinburgh, where she worked in a private and NHS mixed practice to begin her career.
In 2017 she flew over to Melbourne, Australia where she lived and worked for a year. She gained a lot of experience by doing agency work and travelled around the city to work with a lot of different dentists and specialists along the way.
Lauren enjoys all aspects of dentistry and her friendly positive attitude bodes well with patients and colleagues.
She recently moved to London from Edinburgh and very much looks forward to advancing her career here at Mouth.
Referral Coordinator

Katerin Osorio
Katerin joined the dental industry in 2016 starting her career as a dental nurse. After achieving her NEBDN Certificate in Dental Nursing she was keen to learn more and joined us as a Patient Care Coordinator. With her knowledge, experience and additional training she is now responsible for the smooth running of our referrals system and treatment coordinating for all our specialist clinicians
Her main focus is to make the patient journey enjoyable, smoother and stress-free providing a high level of customer care and service. She provides guidance through the process and overseas patients treatment plans.
Receptionist

Angel Slach
Originally from the United `States I now live in London just over 2 years aspiring to work in the clinical field. I have experience working in both the medical and dental fields and appreciate the opportunity it gives me to meet and communicate with a variety of wonderful people every day. It is great to be a part of this unique practice and to work with such talented and caring people. My hobbies include, but are not limited to; meditation, reading, and travel.

Cristina
Cristina is an experienced receptionists of 3 years performing a wide range of front desk, clerical and administrative tasks in a private dental clinic. Looking after the patients is such an important role for her, ensuring their experience is pleasant and unique.
She is a trustful and friendly receptionist with colleagues and patients.
