Composite Bonding in Canary Wharf

A person’s smile can say so much about them and having clean straight teeth can send the message that we take pride in our appearance.

For professional people or those who have a lot of face-to-face contact at work or even socially, having great teeth and a vibrant smile can exude confidence and perfect the face. There may be times, when small imperfections of the teeth can really affect the overall look of our smile, and we may seek a solution to straighten or correct the teeth, without having to take more drastic measures such as braces, implants, crowns or veneers. In cases such as these, composite bonding could be the answer and at Mouth Dental, from our clinic in Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, we offer composite bonding to revitalise your smile and restore your confidence.

What is composite bonding?

Sometimes called tooth bonding or dental bonding, composite bonding is a treatment to repair minor damage, gaps and un-evenness in your teeth.

Composite bonding is often combined with teeth whitening and is the ideal way to create a smile makeover in very little time. It’s also extremely cost-effective, compared to more invasive measures.

A composite resin is applied to specific areas of the teeth and is hardened using a UV light, as soon as it is applied. This means that at the end of your appointment, you will have a tooth that you can comfortably bite down, with no pain or discomfort.

What kind of tooth imperfections can composite bonding correct?

  • Fix damage or cracks to the tooth – the composite resin is moulded to the right shape to correct damage or imperfections, whilst complimenting your existing teeth.
  • Fix discolouration – this treatment can be a solution to remove staining of the teeth and create a whiter smile
  • Combining composite bonding with teeth whitening – your dentist will recommend that any tooth whitening treatment is performed prior to your composite bonding, to ensure that you achieve an exact colour match.

Why choose composite bonding?

Our patients love composite bonding as this treatment offers a fast improvement to a smile, without any discomfort. The composite bonding is expertly applied and dries fast, so that your smile transformation can happen in as little as one hour. Unlike alternative treatments such as crowns or veneers, composite bonding is a non-invasive procedure and does not require the removal of part of the tooth.

Am I suitable for composite bonding?

From one of your London clinics, we will conduct a no obligation consultation, prior to any treatment being recommended, here at Mouth Dental. We will examine your smile and advise on the best course of action for your needs and expectations. If we agree that composite bonding would be the answer, you can go ahead and book your appointment for treatment.

How long do the results last?

On average, the results from composite bonding will last around 5 years, depending on your individual bite pressure and how you take care of your teeth. The material used with composite bonding is not as hard as natural tooth enamel, so the treatment may need to be repeated every 5 years or so.
